That's my old line. You are right. Developing a sequel to Outwars is a tangible objective.

That's my old line. You are right. Developing a sequel to Outwars is a tangible objective.

Makes me wish I was able to code in some way or another.

Of course, I could always just do some promo art or videos--I did sign up for the video-fork-thingie anyways.

Maybe we'll be the pioneers of what I call "fourth party sequels." Community run, developed, and promoted sequels to open source games, I mean.

Just think what we could do--we might be able to blow Warzone 2100 Resurrection and FreeAllegiance out of the water if we pull this off!

Exciting to see that you are ready to commit. If the community had the talents to complete the project it is going to take time and thought to come up with the design, milestones, available resources, etc. before one bit of code is considered. I'd toss that action item to the community if developing a sequel was its desire.

There's always that Copyright hurdle that we ran into the last attempt. I remember tracking down the Copyright owner and they weren't very helpful. I'll have to dig through old notes to see if I can find who it was again. Maybe they'll be more open this time.
